About the IG
Lucrum is the only investment group at B&R Beurs Eindhoven that focuses on Algorithmic Trading. Our aim is to develop a fully functional trading bot that manages a diversified portfolio of securities based on numerous mathematical models/strategies. Innovation, Curiosity and Initiative is at the core of Lucrum, and through sustained efforts, our vision will inevitably become a reality.
While serious technology is an essential part of our work, we also like to have fun. Our members often like to discuss philosophy, politics, and economics at dinner after our weekly meetings on Friday evening. We also like to play chess at Metaforum once in a while.
You don’t need to be an expert to join this investment group. As long as you can write a few lines of python code, and you have amateur investing experience, you can join! We have weekly presentations where we teach a financial concept and predict price movements in different markets based on recent news and economic analysis.
Currently and in the future, we will always be on the lookout for motivated individuals to help us with:

In the future, our founding members aim to develop this investment group to a separate company / hedge fund. Your current efforts at Lucrum can possibly result in you obtaining valuable equity of one of the most successful hedge funds of the future. There is also the possibility of obtaining future internships and a full-time job at this hedge fund if the success of this investment group is high enough.
Lucrum is Latin for Profit. Our slogan emulates the spirit of Lucrum and its name. For the preservation of history, our original slogan is still passionately sung and yelled at the weekly meetings, and at B&R Wednesday events:
“Let’s make some money bitches!”
However, for the mature distaste of profanity and a gradual development of professionality, our slogan has evolved into its current form:
“Let’s generate substantial profits, my companions!”
