VIX Capital

VIX Capital is an investment group consisting of 8 ambitious young men that are all eager to learn more about stock investment. VIX was established in late 2017 by a small group of friends that did not want to join an already established investment group, because they firmly believed that finding things out on your own would increase the process of learning even more. This is all part of the long-term vision VIX Capital has for their future at B&R Beurs Eindhoven. VIX does not need to win the competition the first time around, our goal for 2018 is knowledge acquirement and laying the foundations for many victories in the future.

That brings us to the explanation of the word VIX. VIX is much more than just 3 letters, it’s an abbreviation for the Latin word ‘vincere’, which means being victorious, the wreath in the logo symbolizes this. The vase in the background is a krater found in the tomb of a princess who lived in the French region Vix and is the biggest krater ever found. It was made of pure gold with a volume of over 1000 liters and symbolizes immeasurable wealth.

Members of our investment group come from a variety of backgrounds, although all of them are first year students at TU/e. Each member pledges €250,- to the group which brings our total portfolio to a solid €2000,-. Studying investment and building a great portfolio is of course our main goal, but for us, having fun is equally as important. We like to go on excursions with the society or go out as a group. This comradeship provides us with just that little push that makes us go the extra mile for each other.

In the future we hope to welcome more members to our group, make lots of new friends, drink lots of beer and of course, make lots of money.

We thought to send it off with a classic: “Veni, Vidi, Vici”.
